This effect is a clever use of an old stand by, but I wonder if I missed something?
The script handles revealing a RED "Fate Card," but doesn't handle the reveal of a BLACK "Fate Card," which is entirely possible.
Difficult to explain without revealing.

Hi there, thank you for your question! To reveal a black fate card, the method is exactly the same, only flipped. Because you know what their card is, you can give the good/desirable options for their card’s characteristics, and leave the less desirable options for the colour/suit/numbers that aren’t of the card they have.
For example, if they have a black card, tell them red cards are a warning, think of a red stop sign; this indicates difficulties and obstacles, and black cards represent good news and the start of a new chapter, etc. it is very easy to come up with good and bad elements for each of the colours/suits/numbers and so on. Just be sure to save the good stuff for whatever colour, suit and value their card is.
