Three borrowed coins, three sealed envelopes.
A spectator secretly writes something/anything on a coin (a number, letter, ESP symbol etc.) This coin is then sealed in an envelope.
Another two or more coins are then sealed in separate envelopes, all of which are mixed by the spectator whilst the performer’s back is turned.
WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING, the performer can not only locate the correct envelope, but also reveal what is written or drawn on the coin, before the envelope is even opened!
This routine uses NO GIMMICKS and has a minimal setup.
- No ink transfer
- The spectator seals ALL of the envelopes
- Any number of coins and envelopes can be used
- Anything can be written or drawn by the spectator for the performer to reveal
- Once the spectator has sealed the envelopes, the performer never touches anything again
- End completely clean
BONUS - At the end of this video download you will find an extra tutorial! Using nothing but an ungimmicked, unprepared envelope and a borrowed coin, you will be able to reveal any information which is written on the coin and placed into the envelope. This is a perfect psychometry style effect that again, uses no gimmicks, allows you to start and end completely clean, and everything is examinable before and after! No switches are used!

The concept is simple yet highly effective, and the fact that it uses no gimmicks and has minimal setup is a huge plus. The ability to locate and reveal information written on a coin without ever touching the envelopes is truly impressive.

,I feel that this is a very good routine. I really enjoy the fact that it uses simple props in typical Lewis fashion. Lewis has taken parts of others peoples effects, (in which he credits) in order to create this really sound piece of mentalism with a few climaxes. Just as the ad copy states he uses coins and envelopes to create a great work of mentalism. Lewis has worked out a routine, in which he not only psychically finds the object out of several choices. This routine allows for you to reveal data written on the coin in a very natural and flowing way. As always Lewis is very detailed in his explanations and even offers a solid one coin one envelope version. Great work Lewis, thanks for releasing this, you have really expanded the ideas of minimalist mentalism to great lengths.
Lewis is brilliant. I can’t praise this routine enough. Super fun and easy to do. As all good mentalism this routine works equally fine on stage or close up. As others reviewers mentioned I also really like the impromptu single coin variation. Can’t wait for Lewis to share of more of his work, his presentations are awesome for modern audiences. 🙌🏻
