Give your spectators the ability to sense and reveal secret information!
This is “spectator as mind reader,” as clean as it comes. The PERFORMER writes or draws on any number of business cards, which are mixed face down on the table. The SPECTATOR can then correctly identify the information on each card!
Anything can be written or drawn. Words, shapes, names, emotions, etc. One by one, you ask your spectator to try to sense the location of each item written. For example, you have written emotions on each of the cards. You ask your spectator to try to locate the card that contains the word “happiness”. Once they have made their selection, you draw a happy face on the back of the card to signify their choice. This is then repeated with all of the cards. At the end of the routine, the cards are turned face up, and the spectator will see that they have correctly identified each one!
This routine works perfectly EVERY TIME and only relies on one extremely simple move to achieve!
You will need only some blank business cards and a pen to perform Aura, and it will take around 30 seconds to set up.
As a bonus, Le Val has also included the “dice version” of Aura. After mixing the cards on the table, your spectator rolls an imaginary die. The card at this number is turned over to reveal that it is the exact card you wanted them to choose!
This download also includes a demonstration of how Aura can be used with a deck of playing cards!
In appearance, Aura is very similar to Le Val’s best selling routine, Art Of Knowing, except it is the spectator who achieves the impossible here. The method for Aura is also completely different from that of AOK (psst, it’s even easier!)

It's basically John Riggs's **** fo fire and Emotional Imprints s routine. Of course it's not a bad routine but homework is something every creator should do.
This is a brilliant effect, there's no doubt about that. Totally agree with all the other reviews.
The only problem I have is that it's John Rigg's They **** Fire that is the brilliant effect. This isn't even really a version of it, just the same thing.
He does admit that it may not be original to him but it's hardly an obscure effect from a lo g dead creator. Not coming across Rigg's effect just shows laziness and a lack of care.
It's a pity, because he has some good thoughts on it...
Aura is a very simple effect that can be structured and routined in so many ways. Lewis definitely has a way to structure an old principle to create something that can be used in tons of routines. He also provides several options for routines, with the use of (real or invisible) dice, playing cards and a stock of just plain business cards. The routines are easy but can be thought provoking if you choose to present them in that fashion. The concepts at play are nothing new however; Lewis has a knack of taking simple objects and concepts and making them fresh for new faces to the mentalism scene. Lewis spends a lot of time in these videos making sure people understand the concept and the reasoning behind them. I feel that people new to mentalism can gain great info from this series and those of us that have been in it for a while, can also be reminded of concepts that may have been overlooked.
love this series... for "Aura", i really love the "post-apocalypse" presentation. keep up the good work, Lewis.
In the proper hands, with the proper presentation and in the proper context, this is incredibly powerful. The method is simple, so much so that some may discount the effect. Make no mistake, if you spend some time thinking through your presentation, this will not only blow an audience's mind, you will provide them with a meaningful experience.
